gelung von
der Seite des
Drehwinkels
an den Hand-
hebel heran.

Prüfen Sie den festen Sitz der Verriegelung auf
dem Handhebel. Die Verriegelung darf sich
sie nicht, ziehen Sie den Drehgriff fester an.

Führen Sie nun
das Kabelende
einer geeigneten
Kabelver-
riegelung (z.B.
ABUS Safelex™
Kabelverriege-
lungen) durch
die übereinan-
derliegenden
Kugelhahnven-
til-Verriegelung.
Als Konterpunkt
suchen Sie sich eine
solide, belastbare Öse
oder einen fixen Punkt
(z.B. Rohr, Schlaufe,
Haken) in unmittel-
anderen Seite des
Handgriffs. Der Kon-
terpunkt muss auf der
anderen Seite liegen,
um die Öffnungsrich-
tung des Hanghebels
zu blockieren.
Verbinden Sie
beide Fixie-
rungspunkte
mit dem Kabel,
führen das
Kabelende in
die Kabelver-
riegelung ein
und ziehen es
so fest es geht.
Sie die Kabel-
verriegelung.
Prüfen Sie nun, dass der Hebel des Kugel-
hahnventils gesichert ist und sich nicht zurück
nicht verhindert, ziehen Sie das Kabel enger
oder suchen Sie einen sicheren Konterpunkt
und setzen die Kabelverriegelung erneut.

valve to
the OFF
position.
Move the V500
ball valve
lockout device
from the side
of the rotation
angle to the
hand lever.
Place the
V500 on the
external
lever end,
so that the
lever runs
longitu-
dinally
through
the lockout
device.
Then turn the
rotary handle
further until
the hole in
the rotary
handle lies
above the
hole in the
housing
below.
Now turn
the upper
rotary
handle
clockwise
until the
hand lever
is firmly en-
closed from
above and
below.

Check that the lockout device is securely
attached to the hand lever. It must not be
possible to remove the lockout device from
the hand lever. If it is not secure, tighten the
rotary handle further.

Now pass the
cable ends
of a suitable
cable lockout
device (e.g.
ABUS Safelex™
cable lockout
device) through
the overlapping
holes of the
V500 ball valve
lockout device.
As a counterpoint, find
a solid, durable eyelet
or a fixed point (e.g.
pipe, strap, hook) in
direct proximity on
the other side of the
handle. The counter-
point must be on the
other side to block the
opening direction of
the hand lever.
Connect both
fixing points
with the cable,
pass the cable
ends into the
cable lockout
device and pull
it as tight as
possible. Then
close the cable
lockout device.
Now check that the ball valve lever is secure
and cannot be moved back into the OPEN
position. If possible, tighten the cable or find
a secure counterpoint and reset the cable
lockout device.
Now mount
at least one
padlock.
Close the
padlock
shackle and
remove the
key.
