CAUTION
If the battery pack is mishandled, the battery pack can burst, cause a
re or even chemical burns. Observe the following cautions.
Do not disassemble.
Do not crush and do not expose the battery pack to any shock or
force such as hammering, dropping or stepping on it.
Do not short circuit and do not allow metal objects to come into
contact with the battery terminals.
Do not expose to high temperature above 60 °C (140 °F) such as in
direct sunlight or in a car parked in the sun.
Do not incinerate or dispose of in re.
Do not handle damaged or leaking lithium ion batteries.
Be sure to charge the battery pack using a genuine Sony battery
charger or a device that can charge the battery pack.
Keep the battery pack out of the reach of small children.
Keep the battery pack dry.
Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by
Sony.
Dispose of used battery packs promptly as described in the
instructions.

LIMITED WARRANTY(Short Form, includes Canada)
Sony Electronics Inc. (for U.S. Sales) and Sony of Canada Ltd (for Canadian
Sales) (“Sony”) warrants this product against defects in material or work-
manship for a period of one (1) year from date of original purchase. Pursu-
ant to this Limited Warranty, Sony will, at its option, (i) repair the product
using new or refurbished parts or (ii) replace the product with a new or
refurbished product. For purposes of this Limited Warranty, “refurbished”
means a product or part that has been returned to its original specifica-
tions. In the event of a defect, these are your exclusive remedies.
LIMITATION ON DAMAGES: SONY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCI-
DENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION ON THIS PRODUCT.
DURATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES: EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIB-
ITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF
MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ON THIS
PRODUCT IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WAR-
RANTY.
Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of inci-
dental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an im-
plied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply
to you. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may
have other rights which vary from state to state or jurisdiction to jurisdic-
tion.
Instructions: It is your responsibility to backup any data, software or other
materials you may have stored or preserved on your unit. It is likely that
such data, software, or other materials will be lost or reformatted during
service and Sony will not be responsible for any such damage or loss. A
dated purchase receipt is required. To obtain warranty service within the
United States, you must take the Product, or deliver the Product freight pre-
paid, in either its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree
of protection, to any authorized Sony service facility. To obtain warranty
service within Canada, you must take the Product to the authorized Sony
dealer where you purchased the Product, or to a Sony service facility.
