The following procedure will make it easier to remove

your SelectTech® dumbbell from its packaging.

The dumbbell is heavy. Ask for assistance if necessary.

• Open the top flaps of the shipping box and remove the

upper section of foam.

Remove the plastic wrapper.

• Remove the reusable Restraint Strap. See 1.

Set selection numbers on the adjustment knobs to 41 on

both ends of dumbbell (

see 2

), and remove the dumbbell

(see 3). If necessary, set the knobs to a lower weight and

remove the dumbbell and weight plates separately.

Remove the base from the package, and place on floor or

dumbbell stand

. See 4.

Place dumbbell in the base

.

When moving the dumbbell assembly, use the handles that are

molded into each end of the base.

Note: If the dumbbell assembly is to be used for retail display,

secure the dumbbell with the reusable strap after

assembly.

In a retail display setting, the restraint strap allows enough

movement for demonstration, but prevents damage to the unit

and helps to avoid dropping and/or misuse by consumers.
