5. Schieben Sie den Resetpin wieder in die
Ausgangsposition zurück.
6. Stecken Sie die schwarze Kunststoffkappe bündig
auf den silbernen Pin.
7. Schließen Sie das Oberteil und überprüfen Sie
die Funktion.
Schließen
Nach dem Schließen des Oberteils müssen
die Zahlenräder verstellt werden.
Montageanleitung
Achtung: Beachten Sie, dass abhängig vom
Montage untergrund spezielle Schrauben und Dübel
die Wirksamkeit der Befestigung weiter erhöhen.
Der KEY SAFE wird mit dem Scharnier nach unten
an der Wand befestigt.
Benutzen Sie die Löcher der Grundplatte als
Bohrschablone zum Anzeichnen. Bohren Sie bei
Dübelmontage mit einem Bohrer Ø 8 mm die
angezeichneten Löcher und stecken Sie die Dübel
in die Wand. Be festigen Sie den KEY SAFE mittels
Schrauben in der Wand.
Beachten Sie, dass der KEY SAFE an einem möglichst
unauffälligen Platz mit ausreichend Licht zum
Erkennen der Zahlen montiert wird.
Es wird empfohlen, die Zahlen wöchentlich einmal
zu drehen.

Dear customer,
Thank you very much for deciding for a KEY SAFE
manufactured by BURG-WÄCHTER. The KEY SAFE
permits a reliable storage of keys and / or other
valuables.
Important: Please read the entire User Manual
before you start to mount the device and
before resetting.
Let us wish you a high level of security and quality
of living with your KEY SAFE

To Open
Rotate all 4 dials to the pre-set combination, grasp
the sides on the top section of the box and pull lid
towards you.
Resetting Combination
1. Open the KEY SAFE using the secret number
(the factory preset is “0 - 0 - 0 - 0”).

2. Remove the small black cap which is located
around the silver pin on the inside of the box.
see Fig 1.
3. Slide the reset pin to the left and down as per
arrow (Fig 2) (Lid should be opened toward you
with the hinge at the bottom).
4. Rotate the 4 dials on the front to your new secret
combination. Ensure the numbers are positioned
centrally and have clicked into position.
Attention: If the code gets lost the opening of
the KEY SAFE is impossible.
5. Return the reset pin to the original position
(up and to the right, in the opposite direction
of arrow).
6. Re-insert the black cap around the silver pin.
(The cap will be flush with pin when fitted
correctly) see Fig 1.
7. Close the lid and check the operation of the box
using the new combination.
To lock
The combination must be scrambled by rotating
the 4 dials.
Fitting Instructions
Attention: Depending on different types of walls and
floors special dowels are recommended to increase
the effectiveness of anchoring.
The box should be mounted on to a solid wall using
all 4 corner holes on the back plate.
Wall plugs should be used for masonry and brick
walls. Use a Ø 8 mm drill for the holes and put in the
anchors. Now fix the KEY Safe with the screws on
the wall
The KEY SAFE should be mounted in a discreet
location for maximum protection and in an area with
sufficient light for authorised users to see the dials.
Maintenance:
It is recommended the dials are rotated weekly
to keep them moving freely.

Der KEY SAFE ermöglicht eine sichere Aufbewahrung
von Schlüsseln jeglicher Art und/oder anderen
Wertgegenständen.
Wichtig: Bitte lesen Sie die gesamte Bedie-
nungs anleitung bevor Sie mit der Montage
bzw. mit der Codeumstellung beginnen.

Öffnen
Stellen Sie die 4 Zahlenräder auf die vor ein gestellte
Kombination, greifen Sie das Gehäuse außen und
ziehen Sie das Oberteil des KEY SAFES zu sich.
Umstellung der Zahlenkombination
1. Öffnen Sie den KEY SAFE, indem Sie den
gültigen Öffnungscode einstellen (Werks ein-
stellung “0 - 0 - 0 - 0“) und das Oberteil zu
sich hinziehen.

2. Entfernen Sie die kleine schwarze Kunst-
stoffkappe, die sich direkt unterhalb des silbernen
Pins im Oberteil befindet (Abb. 1).
3. Schieben Sie den Resetpin nach links unten wie
durch den Pfeil angezeigt (Abb. 2).
4. Stellen Sie einen neuen Öffnungscode über
die Zahlen räder ein. Vergewissern Sie sich,
dass die Zahlen mittig positioniert und spürbar
eingerastet sind.
Sollten Sie den Öffnungscode verlieren, ist
ein Öffnen des KEY SAFE nicht mehr möglich!
