INSTALLATION

1.Open yor garage door and park yoehicle otside of garage.u ur v u

2.Determine the monting location on the ceiling and fasten theu

parking assist sing scre and anchor (Figre 1).u wu

3. For installation on a Chamberlain garage door opener:

Locate the quick connect terminals on yor motor head.u

Temporarily remoe the ires for the safety reersing sensorsv wv

(see yor oner’s manal for the location of the qick connectu wuu

terminals.). The power adapter ill not be needed, discard it.w

For all other installations (power adapter required):

Locate the nearest 120 Vac poer otlet to the parking assist(s).w u

Rote u wires from parking assist(s) to outlet. The power adapter

is intended to be correctly oriented in a ertical or floor v

mount position.

4. Stripping the wires prior to installation:

Installing one parking assist: Separate hite/blackwhite and w

wires and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of inslation from parking assistu

wires.

Installing two parking assists: Cut 6" (15 cm) of wires from the

end of one set of parking assist ires for se as connectionw u

ww wires. Separate hite and hite/black wires and strip 7/16"

(11 mm) of inslation from both ends of connection u wire.

5. Connect the wires:

Installing one parking assist (Chamberlain installation): Twist

like colored ires for parking assist and safety reersing sensorsw v

together. Insert tires into qick-connect holes: hite towisted w uw

w wuhite and hite/black to grey* (Figre 2A).

Installing one parking assist (all other installations): Connect

www uires from parking assist to poer adapter as shon (Figre 2B).

Plug power adapter into 120 Vac outlet.

Installing two parking assists (Chamberlain installation):

Separate hite/black white and w wires and strip 7/16" (11 mm) of

insulation from the end of parking assist wires. Twist like colored

w vires for parking assists, safety reersing sensors and

connection wire together. Secire nt. Insert connectionure ith w wu

wuw wwires into qick-connect holes: hite to hite and hite/black to

grey* (Figre 3A).u

Installing two parking assists (all other installations): Twist

like colored wires from parking assists and connection wires

together. Secire nt and attach connection ires toure ith w wuw

power adapter as shown (Figure 3B). Plug power adapter into

120 Vac outlet.

* Please refer to your garage door opener owner’s manual for

proper wire installation.
