Safety
Caution!
Hot surface!
- Always unplug the mains plug when the appliance is not in
use, before cleaning and in case of malfunction or electrical
storms! Never pull on the mains lead! Risk of electrocution!
- Ensure that the mains lead and the appliance are never
placed on hot surfaces or near sources of heat. Put the mains
lead where it will not be in contact with hot or sharp-edged
objects. Risk of electrocution!
- Never fold the mains lead or wind it round the appliance, as
this could cause the cable to break. Risk of electrocution!
- Do not use the appliance if you are on a damp surface, or if
your hands or the appliance are wet. Risk of electrocution!
- Do not open the appliance and never attempt to insert metal
objects inside. Risk of electrocution!
Dangers when operating the steam iron
Caution! Surfaces become hot during use. Never touch the hot
surfaces, and remember that the appliance can remain very
hot for some time after use.
- The iron may not be left unattended while it is connected to
the mains.
- The mains plug must be removed from the electrical socket
before filling or emptying the water tank.
- The filling opening must not be opened during operation.
Consult the chapter “Filling the water tank”.
- The iron must be operated and stored on a stable surface.

Operation
Switching on the appliance
• Then insert the mains plug of the steam iron into a correctly installed electrical
socket.
The display colour changes based on the operating status and/or the
temperature range set. The colours are as follows:
Standby mode: display is red.
Temperature settings 1-7: display is violet.
Temperature settings 8-11: display is blue
• An audible signal sounds and the display 4 briefly shows all symbols. Shortly
afterwards, the display changes to show “STdby” G in red, indicating that the
appliance is connected to the mains power supply and is ready to be used.
• Briefly press the 7 “Increase temperature” button once. The display turns violet
and a “1” and the flashing word acrylic are shown on the display. The appliance is
ready to be used once the flashing stops.
