Safety Instructions
Read these instructions in their entirety before assembling the product, and be sure to follow the
safety instructions in the printer’s User’s Guide when using the product.
When using the printer
Do not block or cover the openings in the printer. ❏
Do not insert objects through the slots. Take care not to spill liquid on the printer. ❏
Use only the power cord that comes with the printer. Use of another cord may result in fire or ❏
electric shock.
Except as specifically explained in your documentation, do not attempt to service the printer ❏
yourself.
Unplug the printer and refer servicing to qualified service personnel under the following condi- ❏
tions: The power cord or plug is damaged; liquid has entered the printer; the printer has been
dropped or the cabinet damaged; the printer does not operate normally or exhibits a distinct
change in performance.
Do not put your hand inside the printer or touch the ink cartridges during printing. ❏
When performing maintenance
Wear protective eyewear and gloves when replacing the waste ink bottle, or handling the pre-
treatment liquid or ink cleaner. Be sure to read the Safety Data Sheet before use. You can download
it at your local Epson Web site. Should fluid such as ink, waste ink, etc. contact your skin or enter your
eyes or mouth, take the following actions:
If fluid adheres to your skin, immediately wash it off using large volumes of soapy water. Consult a ❏
physician if the skin appears irritated or is discolored.
If fluid enters your eyes, rinse immediately with water. Failure to observe this precaution could ❏
result in bloodshot eyes or mild inflammation. If problems persist, consult a physician.
If fluid enters your mouth, consult a physician immediately. ❏
If fluid is swallowed, do not force the person to vomit, and consult a physician immediately. If the ❏
person is forced to vomit, fluid may get caught in the trachea which can be dangerous.

Lors de l'utilisation de l'imprimante
Ne bloquez pas ou ne couvrez pas les ouvertures de l'imprimante. ❏
N'insérez pas d'objets dans les fentes. Veillez à ne pas verser de liquide sur l'imprimante. ❏
Utilisez uniquement le câble d'alimentation fourni avec l'imprimante. L'utilisation d'un autre câble ❏

Sauf indication contraire dans votre documentation, n'essayez pas de réparer vous-même ❏
l'imprimante.
Débranchez l'imprimante et confiez-la à un réparateur qualifié dans les cas suivants : le ❏

Lors des opérations de maintenance
Portez des lunettes de protection et des gants lors du remplacement de la bouteille d'encre usée ou
de la manipulation du pre-treatment liquid ou du ink cleaner. Lisez attentivement la fiche de données
de sécurité avant utilisation. Vous pouvez la télécharger sur votre site Web Epson local. Si des liquides
tels que de l'encre, de l'encre usée, etc. entrent en contact avec votre peau, vos yeux ou votre bouche,
procédez comme suit :
Si le liquide adhère à votre peau, nettoyez-le immédiatement avec d'abondants volumes d'eau ❏
savonneuse. Consultez un médecin si la peau présente des signes d'irritation ou de décoloration.
Si le liquide pénètre dans vos yeux, rincez immédiatement à grande eau. Sinon, cela risque ❏
d'entraîner des yeux rouges ou légèrement inflammés. Si le problème persiste, consultez un
médecin.
Si le liquide pénètre dans votre bouche, consultez immédiatement un médecin. ❏
En cas d'ingestion, ne forcez pas la personne à vomir et consultez immédiatement un médecin. ❏
Si la personne est forcée à vomir, le liquide peut rester bloqué dans la trachée, ce qui peut être
dangereux.
