1. Introduction

Dear Costumer,

Thank you for purchasingthe solar light. With thissolarlight you purchased a

productmanufacturedaccordingto thecurrent stateof technology.

This product fulfils allrequirements of the validEuropean and national

regulations.The conformity was proved. The relevant declarations and

documentation are deposited withthe manufacturer.

Tomaintainthisstate and guaranteea safe operation,you asthe userwillhave

tofollow this operatingmanual!

2. SafetyInstructions

- Incaseofdamages causedby not

following this operating manual,the

warrantyrightswillexpire!We exclude

liabilityfor any consequentialdamages!

personal damages caused byinappropriate

handlingornotfollowingthe safetyinstructions.

tiveassociationfor electricplantsandworking materialaretobe consideredin

industrial environments.

3. Usage inAccordance with Requirements

At darkness, thesolar underwaterbeamer/spotlightis automatically switched on

and switched out atsunrise. The maximum durationof illuminationwith full

(rechargeable) battery andwithout recharge is approx.8 hours. The solar

module installed inthe upper part ofthe housing charges the installedrechar-

geable batteries.The lightingis switched on andoff via a switch.The three

underwater spotlightsare suitable for the outdoorandunder-water use.The

spotlights maybesunkinthe gardenpond,awellorsimilar. This isdone by

means of aplateholder whichis filled withstones. Thesolar modulemaybe

mounted on apolewhich is stuckintothe groundor screwed toa wall. Thepro-

ductisdesignedfor theuse inprivate households.

Note: Pleasemake sure thatthe solarmodule is preferably directed to the South

and that shadowsare avoided. Whendirecting the module to the Northit isnot

possible to use theproduct. The solar moduleshall always be free of snow in

the winter.

4. Initiation

1.Please carefully take allparts out of the package andunwrap the accesso-

ries.

2.The three LED-light rings may be inserted

ontheplateholders.Thisplate maythenbe

filledwithstones.Theirweight willensure a

better fixingin thepond.

3.Now choose an appropriate site for the assembly of the solar module

within the reach ofthe spotlight.Pleasenote that thesite shallbe direc-

tedto thesouth and that no shadow falls onthe solar module.By

means ofan assemblyplate, thespotlight may be screwedto awall or

floor, or, viaan earth pole, inserted into the ground. The spotlight may

also beinstalledona post.This is done bymeans of apolebracket. Via

theball-and-socket joint,it ispossible todirect thespotlight tothesun.

4. Now, connect the3plugs(4) ofthe

spotlight withthesocketson thebacksi-

de fromthe solarmodule.

Note: Those are humidity-protected

plugs.Put theplugs togethercomplete-

ly.

5.Nowset theswitch(5) onthe back side

of the solarmodule to theposition “ON”.

The solarspotlightsarenow activated.

Note: During thewintermonthsthe durationofillumination willgenerally

beshorter.If the lamp should not shine on the firstevening, pleasewait for

a sunnyday.

5.Exchangeof Accumulators

After one to two years, the capacity of the accumu-

latorpack will decrease. It isthen required to

exchangethe accumulators.The accumulatorsare

available inthe shopsorfromthemanufacturer.

1.Unscrew the4 screws onthe backside of the

solar moduleand takeoff thecover.

2.Take the accumulatorfrom themounting bracket

3.Insertthenew accumulatorwith correctpolarity

andclosethehousing inreverse order.

Note: Use batteries or accumulators must be disposedof ina non-polluting

way and do not belong into thedomestic waste. Your dealeris legally obligedto

take back the oldaccumulators.

6. Malfunctions

-Lampis not automatically switchedon at darkness

-An outside lightsource (e.g.streetlight) simulates daylightand prevents thelamp

fromswitching on.Place thelamp at a darkerlocation.

-Lampis not switched onat darkness oronly for a shortperiod of time.

-Is thelampconnected?

-Accumulator weakordefective.Exchange oftheaccumulators.

Rechargeable battery notes

-Rechargeablebatteries should not be played with by children. Neverleave rechar-

geable batterieslying around;they couldbeswallowed bychildren orpets.

-Rechargeable batteries mustnever be short-circuited,disassembled or throwninto

fire. Thisleads toadangerof explosion!

-Leakingordamaged rechargeablebatteries cancause chemical burns when they

comeintocontactwith skin.For this reason,please make use ofsuitable protecti-

ve gloves.

-Rechargeable batteries should only be replaced bystructurally identicalrecharge-

able batteries fromthe same manufacturer. Normal batteries mustnot be used

since thesearenot rechargeable.

-Make sure the rechargeable batteriesare inserted withthe correct polarity.

-Forlongperiods of timeof non-use (forexample, storage), remove the inserted

rechargeablebatteries to avoid damagesvia the leakingrechargeable batteries.
