doors, shower-stall walls and innumerable others.
This booklet will help answer your questions about its maintenance wherever you’ve
decided to install it.
We’re pleased you’ve chosen PaperStone® for your new furnishings; it was a sensible
choice and above all respectful of nature and the environment. And we’re sure you’ll be
admiring its smooth, natural appearance for many years to come.
MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
PaperStone®
PaperStone® is not just a highly advanced latest generation material – it is so much
more. It is the result of research and development carried by a company which,
many years ago, decided to follow a completely new path – the like of which had
never been followed before – to produce a high-performance material with ZERO
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT. This is PaperStone®.
We live in a complex reality that is constantly changing – climate changes and the
overpopulation of vast geographical areas are part of our daily reality and this will
continue to be the case for years to come.
For many reasons, our lifestyle is no longer a private matter. Rather the opposite in fact.
Recently, more and more people are becoming aware of this, and so this is an issue that
must be dealt with collectively.

PaperStone® is both nature and technology
The natural resin used to manufacture PaperStone® is obtained by pressing cashew nut
shells, and does not contain any petrol derivatives or formaldehyde.
Getting accustomed to using PaperStone®
With use and the passage of time PaperStone® will undergo a process very similar to
the seasoning of wood, an intrinsic characteristic of the material. It will get shinier in
the areas of most frequent use and color tone will generally soften and deepen.
For better understanding of the patina-formation and antiquing process there are
5 important facts to remember:
1. Antiquing is a process that begins immediately and finishes some years later. It is
very similar to the seasoning typical of natural products like wood, which as time goes
by darken and turn amber.
2. The antiqued look of the PaperStone® material is due mainly to using an ecological
resin, called PetroFree™, as a binder in its manufacture. This component is initially pale
amber in color but with the passage of time deepens to “Terra di Siena”.
3. The antiquing and patina-forming process cannot be controlled and is more evident
on paler colors. Therefore do not worry if, at the time of installation, the panels have
slight differences in color tone; once the antiquing process begins these differences will
disappear.
4. The dark tone of PaperStone® is the result of the color of the paper used combined
with the natural color of the PetroFree™ resin. PaperStone® colors darken through
time, getting deeper and warmer in appearance.
5. Since PaperStone® is a natural product like wood, its tonality may vary from panel to
panel and even on the panel itself.
CLEANING AND MAINTANENCE
Daily cleaning
PaperStone® is a solid material, colored throughout, natural and elegant. Its resistance
makes for easy maintenance and keeps its beauty unaltered over time. However, daily
cleaning and maintenance help retain both beauty and hygiene. Remnants of foods and
beverages can be easily removed with a cloth moistened in hot, soapy water.
