Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor
User Instruction Manual
Dear Customer,
Thank you for choosing KÖNIG healthcare products. This wrist type USB blood pressure monitor uses hi-tech
intellectual, reliable and accurate measurements for personal healthcare management. No batteries or
adaptors are required. Simply connect the USB cable to your computer and you can see your current and
previous measurements on your computer screen, measure your blood pressure and view your previous
blood pressure records and your current and previous measurements on your computer screen. This
instrument uses the oscillometric method to detect systolic, diastolic, mean value, pulse rate and arrhythmia
and displays this information in numeric form and waveform on your computer screen. Please note that this
instrument does not replace a cardiac examination, but serves to detect pulse irregularities at an early stage.
Blood pressure constantly fluctuates, which means that measuring different values is quite normal. These
discrepancies can take place at your doctor,s, the pharmacy store or in your own home. It is highly
recommended to always consult your doctor in case of any unusual value. The image displayed above,
“Classification of Blood Pressure for Adults”, is a reference data adopted by the International Society of
Hypertension (ISH) to evaluate your blood pressure.
The following instructions are divided into 5 sections to ensure that you fully understand every function of this
instrument and that you are aware of any important information. Please read it thoroughly and we hope that
this instrument will help you on your way to a healthy life.

2. USBBPM Software Instructions
Before using this instrument, please turn your PC on and insert the attached USB BPM installation CD into the
CD-ROM drive of your PC. The USB BPM software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP or ME.
Please read carefully the instructions below to proceed with the USB BPM software installation. The latest
USB BPM software version will be released non-periodically on our website.
2.1 Installing the Blood Pressure Monitor Software
Execute the USB BPM Software CD to start the installation (as in the picture shown above)
Click on “Next” and the following picture will be shown on screen.
Click on “Next” until the following picture appears on screen. When the software has been installed
successfully, click on “Finish”.
The USB BPM icon is placed permanently on the bottom right corner of the toolbar after the installation.
3. Correct measurement procedure
Before you start using this instrument, please take a look at the suggestions below to avoid discrepancies in
your measurements.
• Always measure on your left arm or left wrist
• Avoid exercising, eating, drinking or smoking
• 5-minute intervals between measurements is recommended
3.1 Using the Wrist Cuff Properly
• Hold your hand open with the palm up and place the wrist cuff around your wrist.
• Maintain a distance of about 1 cm between the unit and your wrist line. Place the cuff directly
against the skin to avoid measurement errors.
• Strap the wrist cuff upwards over your wrist. Fasten the cuff firmly with the Velcro tape.
3.2 Correct Posture
Sit comfortably and lay your arm on the supplied storage box so that the wrist cuff is at the same height as
your heart.
3.3 Measurement Procedure
It is recommended to close all other programmes while running the BPM programme. Connect the USB
BPM to your computer or laptop using the supplied USB transfer cable. The Link Indicator Light will light
up for as long as the programme is running. After the computer has detected the BPM program, it will start
automatically. The Link Indicator Light on the right top corner of the screen will light up while the BPM
connects and interacts with the computer. You can now start measuring your blood pressure. Press “Start”
to start the measuring process. The Link Indicator Light will flash until this process is completed. The
results will be displayed on screen in all kinds of figures, including the pressure waveforms.
