INTRODUCTION
This sensor is compatible with various weather station
products that carry this logo .
GETTING STARTED
The battery compartment resides in the tubular casing,
and the switches for selecting channels and temperature
unit are located on the inside of the main lid.
1. Twist the main lid to (unlock position), then pull it
apart from the tubular casing.
2. Remove the battery compartment lid and insert 2
x UM-3 / AA 1.5V batteries, matching the polarity.
Replace the battery compartment lid.

NOTE Standard Alkaline batteries contain a significant
amount of water. Because of this they will freeze in low
temperatures of approximately -12°C (10°F). Disposable
Lithium batteries have a much lower threshold for
temperature with an estimated freezing range of below
-40°C (-40°F).
IMPORTANT Do not use rechargeable batteries.
WARNING While you may use Lithium batteries to
power the sensor, and although the sensor can withstand
low temperatures, it is not recommended to use it in
temperatures below 0°C (32°F). Placing the sensor in
frozen water may damage the unit.
3. The diagram below is the inside of the main lid. Select
a channel from Channel switch (1). If using more than
one remote unit, select a different channel number for
each unit. Select the temperature unit from °C / °F
switch (2).

4. Place the main lid back on the tubular casing and twist
it to (lock position).

5. Press RESET.
USING THE SENSOR
1. The sensor has a string to loop through the hole at the
base of the tubular casing. This can allow you to hang
the unit while you immerse it in water.
2. Place the sensor in the water and make sure that it is
within the effective transmission range (328 feet / 100
metres) from the main unit.
TIP Press RESET whenever the sensor is not performing
as expected (e.g. unable to establish radio frequency link
with the main unit).
TIP Place the sensor as closely as possible to the main
unit. Otherwise, minimise obstructions such as doors,
walls and furniture between the main unit and sensor if
the sensor cannot be placed close to the main unit. You
may need to experiment with various locations to get the
best results.
NOTE With adequate power, the Liquid Crystal
Display in outdoor temperatures will remain operational
up to -28°C (-20°F).
NOTE Wireless ranges can be impacted by a variety
of factors such as extremely cold temperatures. Extreme
cold may temporarily reduce the effective range between
the sensor and the main unit. If the unit’s performance
fails due to low temperature, the unit will resume proper
functioning as the temperature rises to within the normal
temperature range. No permanent damage will occur to
the unit due to low temperatures.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Replace the batteries whenever the low battery icon
shows on the remote sensor, or on the remote sensor
area of the main unit. Press
RESET after every battery
replacement.
PRECAUTIONS
• Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust,
temperature or humidity.
• Do not cover the ventilation holes with any items such
as newspapers, curtains etc.
• Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive
materials.
• Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components.
This invalidates the warranty.
• Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old
batteries.
• Images shown in this manual may differ from the
actual display.
• When disposing of this product, ensure it is collected
separately for special treatment and not as normal
household waste.
• Placement of this product on certain types of wood
may result in damage to its finish for which Oregon
Scientific will not be responsible. Consult the furniture
manufacturer's care instructions for information.
• The contents of this manual may not be reproduced
without the permission of the manufacturer.
• Do not dispose old batteries as unsorted municipal
waste. Collection of such waste separately for special
treatment is necessary.
• Please note that some units are equipped with a
battery safety strip. Remove the strip from the battery
compartment before first use.

INTRODUZIONE
Questo sensore è compatibile con diverse stazioni
meteorologiche che riportano questo logo .
OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI
Il vano batterie si trova nell’involucro tubolare e le levette per
la selezione dei canali e dell’unità di misura della temperatura
si trovano all’’interno della copertura principale.
1. Ruotare la copertura principale sul simbolo (posizione
di sblocco), quindi staccarla dall’involucro tubolare.
2. Togliere la copertura del vano batterie e inserire 2 batterie
di tipo UM-3 / AA da 1,5V, rispettando la polarità indicata.
Riposizionare la copertura del vano batterie.

NOTA Le batterie alcaline standard contengono un’alta
percentuale d’acqua, per questo motivo gelano alle
basse temperature, a circa
-12°C. Le batterie monouso
al litio hanno invece una soglia molto inferiore, e gelano
approssimativamente sotto i -40°C.
IMPORTANTE Non utilizzare batterie ricaricabili.
ATTENZIONE Anche se è possibile utilizzare batterie
al litio per alimentare il sensore, e nonostante il sensore
sopporti le basse temperature, non si consiglia di usarlo
in caso di temperature inferiori allo 0. L’immersione del
sensore in acqua gelata può danneggiare l’unità.
3. Il disegno qui sotto rappresenta l’interno della
copertura principale. Selezionare un canale con la
Levetta Channel (1). Se si utilizza più di un’unità
remota, selezionare un numero di canale diverso per
ciascuna unità. Selezionare l’unità di misura della
temperatura con la levetta °C / °F (2).

5. Premere RESET.
USO DEL SENSORE
1. Il sensore dispone di una cordicella che può essere
fatta passare attraverso il foro presente sulla base
dell’involucro tubolare. In questo modo è possibile
tenere l’unità mentre la si immerge nell’acqua.
2. Immergere il sensore nell’acqua verificando che si
trovi nel campo di trasmissione valido 100 m rispetto
all’unità principale.
SUGGERIMENTO Premere RESET ogni volta che le
prestazioni del sensore non soddisfano le aspettative (ad
es. se non riesce a stabilire un collegamento radio con
l’unità principale).
SUGGERIMENTO Posizionare il sensore il più vicino
possibile all’unità principale. In alternativa, ridurre al
minimo le ostruzioni rappresentate da porte, pareti e
mobili che si frappongono tra l’unità principale e il sensore,
qualora quest’ultimo non possa essere collocato vicino
all’unità principale. È possibile dover provare diverse
posizioni prima di ottenere i risultati migliori.
NOTA Con un’alimentazione adeguata, se esposto a
temperature esterne, il display a cristalli liquidi rimarrà
funzionante fino a -28°C.
NOTA Quando si è in modalità senza fili, sul campo
influiscono diversi fattori, tra cui le temperature
particolarmente rigide. Il freddo intenso può ridurre
temporaneamente il campo d’azione tra il sensore e
l’unità principale. Se le prestazioni dell’unità non sono
soddisfacenti a causa delle basse temperature, l’unità
riprenderà a funzionare correttamente non appena la
temperatura rientrerà nella fascia di normalità. Le basse
temperature non possono causare danni permanenti
all’unità.
SOSTITUZIONE DELLE BATTERIE
Sostituire le batterie ogni volta che sul sensore remoto, o
nell’area del sensore dell’unità principale, appare l’icona
di batteria in esaurimento . Premere RESET dopo ogni
sostituzione di batterie.
AVVERTENZE
• Non sottoporre il prodotto a forza eccessiva, urti,
polvere, temperatura o a umidità.
• Non otturare i fori di aerazione con oggetti come
giornali, tende, etc.
• Non immergere l’unità in acqua. Se si versa del liquido
sul prodotto, asciugarlo immediatamente con un
panno morbido e liscio.
• Non pulire l’unità con materiali abrasivi o corrosivi.
• Non manomettere i componenti interni. In questo
modo si invalida la garanzia.
• Utilizzare solo batterie nuove. Non mescolare batterie
nuove con batterie vecchie.
• Le immagini del manuale possono differire dalla
realtà.
• Al momento dello smaltimento del prodotto, utilizzare
la raccolta differenziata.

INTRODUCTION
Ce capteur est compatible avec les appareils de prévisions
météorologiques portant ce logo .
AU COMMENCEMENT
Vous trouverez le compartiment des piles à l’intérieur
de l’habitacle tubulaire et les interrupteurs de sélection
des canaux et de l’unité de température à l’intérieur du
couvercle principal.
1. Positionnez le couvercle principal sur
(position de
déverrouillage) puis retirez-le de l’habitacle tubulaire.
2. Retirez le couvercle du compartiment des piles et insérez
2 piles UM-3 / AA 1,5 V en respectant les polarités.
Remettez le couvercle du compartiment en place.

REMARQUE Les piles alcalines standard sont
composées d’un volume d’eau non négligeable. Par
conséquent, elles peuvent geler lors de températures
inférieures à -12°C (10°F). Les piles aux lithium ont un
seuil inférieur lors de températures froides, elle ne peuvent
en effet geler qu’à -40°C (-40°F).
IMPORTANT Ne pas utiliser de piles rechargeables.
ATTENTION Même si vous utilisez des piles au lithium
pour alimenter le capteur, et bien que le capteur puisse
supporter de faibles températures, il n’est pas recommandé
de les utiliser par des températures inférieures à 0°C (32°F).
Placer le capteur dans de l’eau gelée peut provoquer des
dommages.
3. La figure ci-dessous repr
ésente l’intérieur du
couvercle principal. Sélectionnez un canal à l’aide
de l’interrupteur de canal (1). Si vous utilisez
plus d’un appareil à distance, sélectionnez un canal
différent pour chaque appareil. Sélectionnez l’unité
de température à l’aide de l’interrupteur °C / °F (2).

4. Remettez le couvercle principal en place sur l’habitacle
tubulaire et positionnez-le sur (verrouillage).

5. Appuyez sur RESET.
UTILISER LE CAPTEUR
1. Le capteur est équipé d’une lanière pouvant être fixée à
la fente située sur l’habitacle tubulaire. Cela vous permet
de pendre l’appareil alors que vous l’immergez.
2. Mettez le capteur à l’eau et assurez-vous qu’il se
trouve dans le champ de transmission effectif (328
pieds / 100 mètres) de l’appareil principal.
ASTUCE Appuyez sur RESET dès que le capteur ne fonctionne
pas normalement (par exemple, impossibilité d’établir une
connexion à fréquence radio avec l’appareil principal).
ASTUCE Placez l’appareil autant que possible à proximité
de l’appareil. Sinon, évitez les obstructions comme les
portes, les murs et les meubles entre l’appareil principal et le
capteur, si vous ne pouvez l’installer à proximité de l’appareil
principal. Vous pouvez essayer plusieurs emplacements,
afin d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats possibles.
REMARQUE Avec une alimentation appropriée, l’affichage
à cristaux liquides des températures extérieures restera
opérationnel jusqu’à -28°C (–20°F).
REMARQUE Les ondes radios peuvent être altérées par
divers facteurs, comme les températures extrêmement froides.
Un froid extrême peut temporairement réduire la portée effective
entre le capteur et l’appareil principal. Si vous constatez une
baisse de performance en raison de faibles températures,
l’appareil fonctionnera normalement si celles-ci repassent dans
une gamme acceptable. L’appareil ne subira aucun dommage
permanent en raison des températures faibles.
REMPLACER LES PILES
Remplacez les piles dès que l’icône de faiblesse des piles
apparaît sur le capteur à distance ou sur la zone dédiée au
capteur à distance de l’appareil principal. Appuyez sur RESET
(REINITIALISER) après chaque changement de piles.
PRECAUTIONS
• Ne pas soumettre le produit à une force excessive, au
choc, à la poussière, aux changements de température
ou à l’humidité.
• Ne pas couvrir les trous de ventilation avec des
journaux, rideaux etc.
• Ne pas immerger le produit dans l’eau. Si vous
renversez du liquide sur l’appareil, séchez-le
immédiatement avec un tissu doux.
• Ne pas nettoyer l’appareil avec des matériaux corrosifs
ou abrasifs.
• Ne pas trafiquer les composants internes. Cela
invalidera votre garantie.
• N’utilisez que des piles neuves. Ne pas mélanger des
piles neuves et usagées.
• Les images de ce manuel peuvent dif férer de l’aspect
réel du produit.
• Lorsque vous désirez vous débarrasser de ce produit,
assurez-vous qu’il soit collecté séparément pour un
traitement adapté.
• Le poser sur certaines surfaces en bois peut endommager
la finition du meuble, et Oregon Scientific ne peut en être
tenu responsable. Consultez les mises en garde du
fabricant du meuble pour de plus amples informations.
• Le contenu du présent manuel ne peut être reproduit

EINLEITUNG
Diese Sendeeinheit ist mit mehreren Wetterstationen
kompatibel, die dieses Logo tragen .
ERSTE SCHRITTE
Das Batteriefach befindet sich im röhrenförmigen Gehäuse,
die Schalter zur Auswahl der Kanäle und Temperatureinheit
sind auf der Innenseite des Hauptdeckels.
1. Drehen Sie den Hauptdeckel zu (entsperrte
Stellung), und ziehen Sie ihn anschließend vom
röhrenförmigen Gehäuse ab.
2. Öffnen Sie den Deckel des Batteriefachs und legen
Sie 2 Batterien des Typs UM-3 / AA 1,5V ein, achten
Sie dabei auf die Übereinstimmung der Polarität.
Bringen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel wieder an.

HINWEIS Handelsübliche Alkaline-Batterien enthalten
beträchtliche Mengen Wasser. Daher können diese bei
niedrigen Temperaturen von etwa -12 °C (10 °F) einfrieren.
Die Temperaturgrenze von Lithium-Einwegbatterien ist
weitaus niedriger und weist einen geschätzten Frostbereich
von unter -40 °C (–40 °F) auf.

Betrieb der Sendeeinheit verwenden können und die

3. Das nachstehende Diagramm zeigt die Innenseite
des Hauptdeckels. Wählen Sie einen Kanal mit dem
Kanalschalter (1) aus. Wenn Sie mehr als eine externe

DIE SENDEEINHEIT VERWENDEN
1. Die Sendeeinheit verfügt über eine Kordel, die durch
die Öffnung auf der Unterseite des röhrenförmigen
Gehäuses geführt wird. Damit können Sie das Gerät
aufhängen, während Sie es ins Wasser tauchen.
2. Legen Sie die Sendeeinheit ins Wasser und stellen
Sie sicher, dass sie sich innerhalb der effektiven
Übertragungsreichweite (328 Fuß / 100 m) der
Basiseinheit befindet.
TIPP Drücken Sie jedesmal auf RESET, wenn die
Sendeeinheit nicht erwartungsgemäß funktioniert (z.B.
keine Funkverbindung zur Basiseinheit herstellen kann).
TIPP Platzieren Sie die Sendeeinheit so nahe wie
möglich an der Basiseinheit. Vermeiden Sie außerdem
Hindernisse, wie Türen, Wände und Möbel zwischen
Basiseinheit und Sendeeinheit, falls die Sendeeinheit nicht
in der Nähe der Basiseinheit platziert werden kann. Sie
müssen eventuell mehrere Standorte testen, um optimale
Ergebnisse zu erzielen.
HINWEIS Bei ausreichender Leistung bleibt die
Flüssigkristallanzeige bei Außentemperaturen von bis zu
-28 °C (–20 °F) funktionsfähig.
HINWEIS Die Übertragungsreichweite von Funksignalen
kann von verschiedenen Faktoren, wie extrem niedrige
Temperaturen, beeinflusst werden. Extreme Kälte
kann die effektive Übertragungsreichweite zwischen
Sendeeinheit und Basiseinheit vorübergehend verringern.
Sollten Funktionsstörungen am Gerät aufgrund
niedriger Temperaturen auftreten, so wird das Gerät
wieder ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, sobald sich
die Temperaturwerte wieder innerhalb des normalen
Bereichs befinden. Niedrige Temperaturen können keine
dauerhaften Schäden an Ihrem Gerät verursachen.
