BEFORE USING THE TOOL CAREFULLY READ THE
INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
SAFETY INFORMATlON
This multimeter has been designed according to IEC61010-1
concerning electronic measuring instruments with an overvoltage
category (CATlll) and pollution 2.
Follow all safety and operating instructions to ensure that the meter is
used safely and is kept in good operating condition.
Full conformity with safety standards is guaranteed only if the test
leads supplied with the product are used. If they are damaged, the
leads should be replaced with the same models or leads with the same
electrical parameters.
a) To prevent electrocution or fire, do not expose the meter to rain or
humidity. The meter is intended for indoor use only.
b) Check the meter for damage before turning it on. If any damage is
visible on the instrument, do not perform any measurements. Do
not use a damaged meter.
c) Check the insulation of the probes before turning the meter on. If
the probes are damaged, a risk of electrocution occurs. Do not use
damaged probes.
d) Do not measure voltages over 600 V or currents over 10 A.
e) Do not measure the current if the open-circuit voltage exceeds 250 V.
f) Do not use the meter to measure voltages (and currents) exceeding
the values on the front panel.
g) Check the meter for proper operation before making any
measurements. Test it on a circuit of known parameters.
h) In the case of abnormal results, refrain from using the meter. Check
the fuse. If you are unable to identify the failure, contact the
technical service.

i) In order to change the measured value, disconnect the leads before
using the switch.
j) Disconnect and turn off the meter before replacing its parts (fuse,
battery).
k) Replace the battery immediately after the warning symbol is
displayed. Otherwise, the next result may be inaccurate. This may lead
to deviations, false results, or even electrocution.
l) Disconnect the probes from the tested circuit before opening the
meter.
m)Do not use the meter if the case is removed or loose.
n) Do not modify the internal circuits of the meter.
o) Disconnect the circuits from the power source and discharge high
voltage capacitors before measuring resistance, diodes, or current.
p) Make sure the rotary range selector is set correctly before each
measurement.
q) The COM terminal always has to be connected to the reference
ground.
r) Always keep your fingers behind the finger guards of the meter or test
lead probes during measurements as they indicate the limit of safe
access to the probes and instrument.
s) NEVER CHANGE THE MEASUREMENT RANGE BY ROTATING THE
SELECTOR DURING A MEASUREMENT. This may damage the meter.
t) It is inadvisable to use the meter in an environment with strong
electromagnetic fields, a risk of explosion or fire.
u) Keep away from children.
v) Protect against humidity, dust, and high temperature during the
storage and transport.
MAINTENANCE
Before opening the case, always disconnect test leads from all
energized circuits.
For continue protection against fire; replace fuse only with the
specified voltage and current ratings:
250mA/250V(Quick Acting) 10A/250V(Quick Acting)
