APPLICATION
This pump is used primarily as cellar pump. When installed in a shaft, the pump
provides protection from ooding. It is also used wherever water has to be
moved from one place to another, e.g. in the home, agriculture, horticulture,
plumbing and many other applications. Not suitable for professional use.
SAFETY FIRST!
• Read this manual and general safety instructions carefully before using the
appliance, for your own safety. Your power tool should only be passed on together
with these Instructions.
• To reduce risk of electrical shock, always disconnect the pump from the power
source before handling or servicing.
• DO NOT pump hazardous materials (ammable, caustic, etc.) unless the pump is
specically designed and designated to handle them.
• DO NOT block or restrict discharge hose, as discharge hose may whip under
pressure.
• DO NOT wear loose clothing that may become entangled in the impeller or other
moving parts.
• Keep clear of suction and discharge openings. DO NOT insert ngers in pump
with power connected.
• Always wear eye protection when working on pumps.
• DO NOT exceed manufacturers recommendation for maximum performance, as
this could cause the motor to overheat.
• DO NOT remove cord and strain relief. Do not connect conduit to pump.
• WARNING! Cable should be protected at all times to avoid punctures, cut, bruises
and abrasions - inspect frequently. Never handle connected power cords with
wet hands.
• WARNING! To reduce risk of electrical shock, all wiring and junction connections
should be made per the NEC or CEC and applicable state or province and local
codes. Requirements may vary depending on usage and location.
• WARNING! Submersible Pumps are not approved for use in swimming pools,
recreational water installations, decorative fountains or any installation where
human contact with the pumped uid is common.

We are not responsible for losses, injury, or death resulting from a failure to
observe these safety precautions, misuse or abuse of pumps or equipment.

GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow all warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury. Save all warnings
and instructions for future reference. The term "power tool" in the warnings refers
to your mains operated (corded) power tool. Only qualied personnel should
install, operate and repair pump. Any wiring of pumps should be performed by a
qualied electrician.
BEFORE START-UP, NOTE THE FOLLOWING!
• The pump can be connectedto any shock-proof plug which has been installed
according to regulations. The plug must have a supply voltage of 220 V - 50Hz.
Fuse min. 6 Amp.
CAUTION!
When the pump is to be used near swimming pools or garden ponds and in their
area of protection, it must be equipped with a PRCD (residual current circuit breaker)
with a nominal trip current of max. 30 mA (according to VDE 0100, part 702 and 738).
The pump must not be operated while people are in the swimming pool or in the
garden pond! Please contact your electrician!
ATTENTION!
Before starting to run your new submersible pump, please have the following
items checked by an expert:
• Ground connection
• Zero conductor
• Fault current breaker switch must correspond the safety regulations of the power
plants and they must work faultlessly.
• The electrical connections must be protected from moisture.
• If there is danger of ooding, the electrical connections must be taken to higher
ground.
• Circulation of aggressive uids, as well as the circulation of abrasive materials
must be avoided at all costs.
• The submersible motor-driven pump must be protected from frost.
• The pump must be protected from running dry.
• Access on the part of children should also be prevented with appropriate measures.
