strap when installing any computer component. If an

static electricity build-up by touching a large grounded
metal surface (such as the computer case) for several
seconds.AlsobecarefultohandlethePCIExpresscard
byitsedgesandnotthegoldconnectors.
1. Makesurethatyoursystemisunpoweredand
unpluggedandyouaregrounded.
2. Removethecoverofyoursystem(refertocomputer
systemdocumentation,ifnecessary)sothatthePCI
Expressexpansionslotopeningsonthemotherboard
areaccessible.
3. AlignthePCIExpressconnectorontherisercard
withanavailablePCIExpressslot.
4. Gentlyinsertthecardintotheemptyslot,making
sureitisseatedrmly.Fastenthecardtotheriser
cardmountingbracketonthecomputerchassis(refer
tocomputersystemdocumentation,ifnecessary).
5. InstallthedesiredPCIExpresscardintothe
PCIeslotontherisercardandfastensecurelyto
thecomputerchassis(refertocomputersystem
documentation,ifnecessary).
6. Replaceandfastenthecomputercover.
