FAQs on the STEALTH -6 & AS-10 Acve Subwoofer Enclosures AS
What are the dierences between the STEALTH AS-10 & our previous HT-AS10?
1. Rotaonally Molded Polyethylene Housing, instead of berglass. Although the footprint
of the two are idencal, the molded housing is stronger, lighter, and more durable than
the berglass.
2. Harness to connect instead of terminals on the amp. This improves the water resistance
& simplies connecon to a Wet Sounds Sound Bar.
3. New AL Mesh grill stronger, plus they match the sound bars. –
Why are amplier specicaons dierent on the AS-10 & AS-6? The amps look similar.
The amp on both units is idencal. We adjust the output of the amp by carefully matching the
impedance of the subs. The AS-10 requires more power, so the impedance of the sub is
lowered to result in 500 was of output power from the amp. The AS-6 requires less power, so
the impedance of the sub is raised to result in 250 was of power from the amp.
How will I adjust the controls on the amplier?
The controls are behind a clear plasc panel with a rubber gasket to keep water, mud and dust
away. Once the sub is installed & the levels are set, the only adjustment needed will be the
included remote level control to ne tune the output of the sub. This control is
interchangeable with AS-6, AS-10 & even the HT-AS10.
How easy is this to install with my Wet Sounds Sound Bar?
AS-6 & AS10 have been designed with the correct connecons to be “plug & play” with our
sound bars. The Remote Turn On Wire connects to the remote out on newer sound bars, but if
a user has an older sound bar the sub has auto sensing as well to turn on automacally. The
installaon is incredibly easy if a user has a Wet Sounds sound bar, but will work perfectly with
another brand as well.
How do the adjustable feet on the AS-6 work?
Each can be rotated 90 degrees, which allows each corner to have the mounng foot either
come out from the front of the housing or the side of the housing.
Can I improve the performance of the AS-6/10 by using a dierent woofer or amplier?
No. The components used in the STEALTH AS-6/10 subwoofers are designed for maximum
performance as complete unit. Substuon of any other amplier or subwoofer driver is not
recommended as it will degrade the performance and void the warranty.
Where is the best place to mount my subwoofer?
The physics of sound tell us that any subwoofer increases its output when allowed to “load”
into a wall, corner, or some other structure. Since every vehicle & applicaon is dierent, we
suggest you experiment & move the subwoofer around to nd the opmal posion.
How are they packaged?
The AS6/10 come in all new full color gi box packaging designed to have a “family”
resemblance with our latest STEALTH Sound Bar packages. When placed on a showroom oor
or a dealership parts display, these will help the product sell themselves.
When will these subs be available?
AS AS-10s are available as of September 19. -6s will follow close behind in October. We have
ample inventory arriving & re-orders have already been placed. Sell all you want – we’re
making more!
