Safety
• Thesurge suppressor should only be connected to
anearthed indoor wall socket.
• Check that all connected devices are rated at
thesame mains supply voltage (230 V 50 Hz).
• Make sure that theelectrical socket that theproduct
is plugged into is easily accessible in case it
and theconnected product need to be quickly
disconnected from themains electricity.
• Do not connect products of this type to each other.
• Do not cover theproduct.
Note: Thesurge suppressor’s switch should be in
theon position and be lit for theoutlets to carry current I
and be operational.
Note: Thegreen (PROTECT) indicator must be lit in
order for thesurge suppressor feature to be operational.
If thegreen (PROTECT) indicator does not light, this
indicates that thesurge suppressor feature is no longer
operational. Thedevice will continue to function as
astandard extension lead but surge protection will no
be provided to any connected devices.
Product description
• Thesurge suppression feature is designed to protect
connected devices during e.g. thunder storms.
Note! Thesurge suppression feature will not protect
against near or direct lightning strikes.
• Safety shuttered.
• Equipped with two varistors, agas discharge tube
and two fuses.
• Protection status indicator.
• On/off switch. Turns theoutlets on and off.
• Wall bracket.
Operating instructions
1. Check that all devices to be connected to thesurge
suppressor are first turned off.
2. Check that thesurge suppressor’s switch is also
turned off ( ) before plugging thedevices into O
thesockets in thesurge protector.
3. Plug thesurge suppressor into awall socket.
4. Switch thesurge suppressor’s power switch to
theon position . Theswitch and green (PROTECT) I
indicator should be lit.
5. Switch on theconnected device/s.
