4/8-way AV distributing amplifier

TheAVdistributing amplifierVSD-104/VSD-108 was designed toconnect the inputs and outputs ofaudio-

visual devices (AVdevices) with one anotherand to amplify the video signals. With the VSD-104/VSD-108

youcanviewthesignalfroman AV unitonup tofouror eightTV-sets simultaneously, oryoucanrecordthe

signalby connecting suitable recording units.

• Distribute audio, composite video and s-video televisionsignalsfrom a singleAVsource to

multiple television monitors

• Daisy-chainseveral units for larger displays withequal picture quality and save the expense of

additional AVreceivers

• Typicalapplications are information systems in shopping centres, schools, hotels, railway

stations, airports etc.

Safety Instructions

Setting into Operation

•Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages.

Should there be any, do not take the device intooperation and immediately consultyour

dealer.

•Operate thedevice onlyafterhaving familiarizedwith itsfunctions. Donot permitoperation by

personsnot qualified for operating the device.

• Protect the device against humidity and heat.Keep away from heatersand otherheating sources!

• Werecommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Disconnect from mains first. Use a soft lint-free and

moistened cloth. Never usealcoholor solvents!

•There arenoserviceable partsinsidethe device.Maintenance andservice operationsareonly tobe

carried outbyauthorizeddealers.

•Damage, caused bymanual modifications onthe device are notsubject to warranty. Ifthe device is

used for other purposesthan originally intendedor ifitis notcorrectly connected, the productmay

sufferdamages and the guarantee becomesvoid.

TheAVdistributor mustbe poweredby thesupplied 12V,500 mApowerunit only. Thepower unitis

allowed to be operated with analternatingcurrent of 100-230 VAC,50/60Hz. The power unit falls

under protection-class2 and the deviceunder protection-class 3. Bothdevices were designed for

indoor useonly.

When connecting, pay attention to the color coding of the connection jacks:

yellow=video signal

red=audio signal right

white=audio signal left

green=AUX audio signal

•Connectthe transmissionunit and yourTVsetstothe VSD-104/VSD-108 unitsaccording to the

figure below.

•Switchoff the devicesto be connected before connecting themto the jacks.Do not turnthem

onagain until you have made all necessary connections.

•Connect the input VIDEO IN/AUDIO INwith the outputofyourAV source unit (e.g. DVDplayer,

VCR,AV receiver).

•Anadditional audio device (e.g. MP3player) canbe connected totheAUX IN jack viaa 3.5 mm

mini-stereo jack.

•Connectthe supplied power unit to the 12 V DCIN jack. Plug the power unit into your outlet.As

soonas the device is supplied with power,the POWERindicator lightsup.

•SwitchyourTV-sets orrecording unitsto theAV program slot (see the operating instructionsof

therespective units).The recording function must be startedon any recording devices aswell.

• Start playback on the AV source unit.
