Safety
• Thespeaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded
components inside thespeaker’s casing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with
these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Do not cover thespeaker. Adequate ventilation with adistance of at least 5 cm
between thespeaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent thespeaker
from overheating.
• Thespeaker must only be connected to a100–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that theused wall socket is easily accessible, as this is theonly way to
completely disconnect thespeaker from themains supply.
• Place thespeaker on astable, flat surface.
• Do not place thespeaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Donot place
any objects containing liquid on thespeaker, such as vases, drinks,etc.
• Do not place thespeaker near open flames such as wood stoves, lit candles,etc.
• Place thespeaker in anarea where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its
mainslead.
• Never subject thespeaker to high temperaturese.g. prolonged sunlight exposure,
dust, heavy vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse themainslead. Neverunplug theproduct by pulling on its
mainslead. Always grip theplug itself. Makesure that themains lead does not
come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect theplug from thewall socket during thunderstorms or if thespeaker is
not to be used for alongtime.
• Thespeaker’s standby switch does not completely disconnect it from themains.
Unplug thespeaker from thewall socket to completely disconnect thefrom
themains.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearingloss.
• Do not use thespeaker if it or themains lead is damaged in anyway.
• Only use accessories that are approved by themanufacturer or retailer.
• Thespeaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.

Things to consider:
• Other wireless equipment using thesame frequency band can reduce
thetransmissionrange.
• Therange of all wireless equipment depends on thetype of obstacles located
between thetransmitter and thereceiver (e.g. aconcrete wall will interfere with
thesignal more than aplasterboard wall).
If you experience problems, try thefollowing:
• Turn off any other existing wireless equipment to check whether this is thecause
of theproblem.
• Reposition thewireless equipment, shorten thedistance between thetransmitter
and thereceiver or reduce thenumber of obstacles (walls, furniture,etc.)
betweenthem.
