Gooseneck Microphone

These instructions are intended for installers of

PA systems. Please read these instructions care-

fully prior to operation and keep them for later

reference.

1 Applications

This gooseneck microphone is specially designed

for application in PA systems and other applications

requiring a ﬁxed microphone for announcements,

lectures, or other occasions where speech is transmit-

ted. For operation, a voltage in the range of ⎓ 3 – 9 V

must be fed to the microphone.

Model EMG-600P is provided with a 3-pole XLR

plug. Model EMG-610P is designed to be installed

into a table top or console top and is supplied with

stripped cable ends.

2 Important Notes

The microphone corresponds to all relevant directives

of the EU and is therefore marked with .

•

The microphone is suitable for indoor use only.

Protect it against dripping water and splash water,

high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient

temperature range 0 – 40 °C).

•

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use

chemicals or water.

•

No guarantee claims for the microphone and no

liability for any resulting personal damage or mate-

rial damage will be accepted if it is used for other

purposes than originally intended, if it is not cor-

rectly connected or not repaired in an expert way.

If the microphone is to be put out of oper-

ation deﬁnitively, dispose of the micro-

phone in accordance with local regulations.

3 Setting the Microphone into Operation

1) For model EMG-610P, drill a hole with a diameter

of 10 mm at the mounting location (e. g. table top

or console top). For model EMG-600P, a 3-pole

XLR jack must be provided or must be installed at

the mounting location.

2) The connection of the microphone or the pin

conﬁg uration of the XLR plug is shown in the

ﬁgure below. To connect model EMG-610P, a

680 Ω resistor and a 10 μF electrolytic capacitor

are additionally re quired. The operating voltage of

the microphone must not exceed 9 V, otherwise

the microphone will be damaged!

Feed the microphone signal to the microphone

input of an ampliﬁer or mixer.

3) As soon as the operation voltage is fed to the

microphone, the red ring lights up, and the micro-

phone is ready for operation.

Schwanenhalsmikrofon

Diese Anleitung richtet sich an Installateure für

Beschallungsanlagen. Bitte lesen Sie die An-

leitung vor dem Betrieb gründlich durch und

heben Sie sie für ein späteres Nachlesen auf.

1 Einsatzmöglichkeiten

Dieses Schwanenhalsmikrofon ist speziell für den Ein-

satz in ELA-Anlagen konzipiert sowie für weitere An-

wendungen, bei denen ein feststehendes Mikrofon

für Durchsagen, Vorträge oder sonstige Sprachüber-

tragung benötigt wird. Für den Betrieb muss eine

Spannung im Bereich von ⎓ 3 – 9 V auf das Mikrofon

gegeben werden.

Das Modell EMG-600P ist mit einem 3-poligen

XLR-Stecker ausgestattet. Das Modell EMG-610P ist

zum Einbau in eine Tisch- oder Pultplatte vorgesehen

und wird mit abisolierten Kabelenden geliefert.

2 Wichtige Hinweise

Das Mikrofon entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien

der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.

•

Setzen Sie das Mikrofon nur im Innenbereich ein

und schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,

hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zu lässiger Ein-

satztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).

•

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,

weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.

•

Wird das Mikrofon zweckentfremdet, falsch ange-

schlossen oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann

keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach- oder

Personenschäden und keine Garantie für das Mik-

rofon übernommen werden.

Soll das Mikrofon endgültig aus dem Be-

trieb genommen werden, entsorgen Sie es

gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.

3 Inbetriebnahme

1) Für das Modell EMG-610P am Montageort (z. B.

Tisch- oder Pultplatte) ein Loch mit einem Durch-

messer von 10 mm bohren. Für das Modell EMG-

600P muss am Montageort eine 3-polige XLR-

Buchse vorhanden sein bzw. eingebaut werden.

2) Der Anschluss des Mikrofons bzw. die Anschluss-

belegung des XLR-Steckers ist in der untenstehen-

den Abbildung angegeben. Zum Anschluss des

Modells EMG-610P werden zusätzlich ein 680-Ω-

Widerstand und ein 10-μF-Elko benötigt. Die Be-

triebsspannung darf 9 V nicht überschreiten, ande-

renfalls wird das Mikrofon beschädigt!

Das Mikrofonsignal auf den Mikrofoneingang

eines Verstärkers oder Mischpults geben.

3) Sobald die Betriebsspannung am Mikrofon anliegt,

leuchtet der rote Ring und das Mikrofon ist funk-

tionsbereit.

Cette notice s’adresse aux installateurs d’instal-

lations de sonorisation. Veuillez lire la présente

notice avant le fonctionnement et conservez-la

pour pouvoir vous y reporter ultérieurement.

1 Possibilités d’utilisation

Ce microphone sur col de cygne est spécialement

conçu pour une utilisation dans des systèmes PA

ainsi que pour d’autres utilisations requérant un mi-

crophone ﬁxe pour des annonces, des discours ou

d’autres transmissions de la voix. Pour le fonctionne-

ment du microphone, une alimentation dans la plage

de ⎓ 3 – 9 V est nécessaire.

Modèle EMG-600P est doté d’une ﬁche XLR à

3pôles. Modèle EMG-610P est prévu pour l’installa-

tion dans le dessus d’un table ou d’un pupitre ; il est

livré avec des bouts de câble dénudés.

2 Conseils importants

Le microphone répond à toutes les directives néces-

saires de l’Union Européenne et porte donc le sym-

bole .

•

Le microphone n’est conçu que pour une utilisation

en intérieur. Protégez-le de tout type de projections

d’eau, des éclaboussures, d’une humidité d’air éle-

vée et de la chaleur (plage de température de fonc-

tionnement autorisée : 0 – 40 °C).

•

Pour le nettoyer, utilisez uniquement un chiffon

sec et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques

ou d’eau.

•

Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de

dommages matériels ou corporels résultants si le

microphone est utilisé dans un but autre que celui

pour lequel il a été conçu, s’il n’est pas correcte-

ment branché ou s’il n’est pas réparé par une per-

sonne habilitée ; en outre, la garantie deviendrait

caduque.

Lorsque le microphone est déﬁnitivement

retiré du service, éliminez-le conformé-

ment aux directives locales.

1 Possibilità d’impiego

Questo microfono a collo di cigno è stato realizzato

specialmente per l’impiego in impianti PA e per quei

casi in cui è richiesto un microfono ﬁsso per avvisi,

conferenze e simili. Per il funzionamento, il micro-

fono dev’essere alimentato con una tensione nel

campo ⎓ 3 – 9 V.

Il modello EMG-600P è equipaggiato con un

connettore XLR a 3 poli. Il modello EMG-610P è pre-

visto per il montaggio ad incasso in un tavolo o in un

pul pito e pertanto viene fornito con terminali spelati

dei cavi.

2 Avvertenze importanti

Il microfono è conforme a tutte le direttive rilevanti

dell’UE e pertanto porta la sigla .

•

Usare il microfono solo all’interno di locali e pro-

teggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi

d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calore (tem-

peratura d’impiego ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).

•

Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido,

asciutto; non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti

chimici o acqua.

•

Nel caso d’uso improprio, di collegamenti sbagliati,

o di riparazione non a regola d’arte del microfono,

non si assume nessuna responsabilità per even tuali

danni consequenziali a persone o a cose e non si

assume nessuna garanzia per il microfono.

Se il microfono deve essere messo deﬁni-

tivamente fuori servizio, smaltire il micro-

fono in conformità con le normative locali.

3 Messa in funzione

1) Per il modello EMG-610P occorre dapprima pre-

parare un foro di montaggio (p. es. nel tavolo o

nel pulpito) con un diametro di 10 mm. Il modello

EMG-600P invece richiede sul luogo di montaggio

la presenza di una presa XLR a 3 poli.

2) Il collegamento del microfono e i contatti del con-

nettore XLR sono illustrati nella ﬁgura sottostante.

Per il collegamento del modello EMG-610P occor-

rono in più una resistenza di 680 Ω e un conden-

satore elettrolitico di 10 μF. La tensione d’esercizio

per il microfono non deve superare i 9 V per non

danneggiarlo.

Portare il segnale del microfono sull’ingresso

microfono di un ampliﬁcatore o di un mixer.

3) Non appena la tensione d’esercizio è presente sul

microfono, l’anello rosso si accende e il microfono

è pronto per l’uso.

3 Fonctionnement

1) Pour modèle EMG-610P, percez un trou de dia-

mètre 10 mm au lieu de montage (par exemple

dessus d’un table ou d’un pupitre). Pour modèle

EMG-600P, une prise XLR à 3 pôles doit être pré-

vue au lieu de montage ou doit être installée.

2) Le branchement du microphone ou la conﬁgura-

tion de la ﬁche XLR est indiqué dans le schéma

ci-dessous. Pour brancher le modèle EMG-610P,

une résistance 680 Ω et un condensateur électro-

lytique 10 μF sont nécessaires en plus. La tension

de fonc tionnement du microphone ne doit pas dé-

passer 9 V, sinon le microphone sera endommagé !

Appliquez le signal microphone à l’entrée mi-

crophone d’un ampliﬁcateur ou d’une table de

mixage.

3) Dès que la tension de fonctionnement sera appli-

quée au microphone, l’anneau rouge s’allumera,

et le microphone sera prêt à être mis en service.
