ensure mirror adju tability i retained.

To
release the tension
of
the spring
cl
p, simply squeeze the TRIGGER and the back side
of
the mount together. This will lower the bottom portion of the spring clip al owing
you
to
slide the
RD
on
and off. When used property, the spring clip avoids putting excessive
pressure on the mirror stem when installing and
remov~ng
the
RD

trigger to secure the

onto the mount. Before installing the
mount
onto
your rear view mirror, remove
and
install the
RD
a
few times
so
you
can observe how th spring clip function .

BODY
ASSEMBLY
3 - The BODY ASSEMBLY must
be
moved to gain access to the
CLAMP SCREW. Remove the two socket head screws as shown
above.
Be
sure to remove the lock washer with the top screw a ong with
the lock washer and flat

her with the bottom screw. Loosen the
CLAMP SCREW so th

i nough clearance between the TOP
and
MID SECTIONS to slide over the mirror stem.

4 • While sitting in the passenger seat, place the mount over the mirror
stem. Tighten the CLAMP SCREW until the mount starts to
damp
onto the
mirror stem. As
you
are tightening the clamp screw, MAKE SURE
THE
TOP
AND
MIO
SECTIONS TOUCH
AT
THE
PIVOT POINT. If they do not touch
at the pivot p ·nt,
YOU
HAVE A INCO
PATIBLE
MIRROR TYPE
FOR
THIS MOUNT. Position the mount
as
far forward
as
·
twill
go
and
parallel to
the bottom
of
the mirror before fully tigh ening.

sure

check
that
all adjustment screws are tight.
Grab
the tong
arm
of
the allen wrench
to
assure that
these screws are securely tightened. You will
not
strip
out
the tapped ho
es
in the
aircraft
grade
alumi
num
.

To access
the
buttons
of
the
RD
you will
need
to gently push
downward on the front
of
the
RD
with
one
finger and pu h the
de-
sired button with another finger. Then allow the
RD
to
retum to it's
original position by
gently
letting
it
spring upward.
When
accessing
the buttons,
be
sure
to
pu
h the RD downward
ju
t nough
for
your
finger
to
fit between the
RD
and m'rror. Do not pu h down

7 • When removing
or
installing the
RD
, squeeze the trigger and the
back
side
of
the
mount
together with
one
hand, and lift the front o the
RD
upward with
the
other
hand before sliding the
RD
off
or
onto
the spring clip.

you intend to remove
your
RD
frequently, you
may
want
to
install the
two
gray
